FAQs

How to book a session

Call us at 403-272-4403 and tell us what type of portrait you are wanting and we can discuss the details, date and times available. Then we take the session fee over the phone with a visa or mastercard.

This is a non-refundable fee that holds your date and time.  Please contact us if you are unable to keep your appointment as no shows forfeit their session fee.

How much does it cost?

The session fee is $125 and allows us to spend as much time as needed to capture some truly beautiful images of your child.  This also includes a one hour viewing time to be booked after your session is completed.

Prints start as low as $40 and wall portraits start at $210

All of our prints are custom printed, include professional retouching and are protected with a UV non-glare laminate to protect your images for years to come. You can wipe off those little fingerprints with ease!

How long does a session take?

A one hour session time is set aside for you and your little one/ones so that we have plenty of time for feedings, snacks, and cuddles from parents if needed.

Framing

Truly the “finishing touch” of portraiture, framing must be both complementary to the image – so as not to distract the viewer’s attention from the subject matter – and an appropriate accent for the rooms furnishings.

What to do with photographs?

Your portraits can be given as gifts or be on display at your home or office and will serve as both a tasteful reflection of your decorating style and a tribute to the ones you love. They will also provide an heirloom and leave your children with a legacy of love.

Why does your company use only Digital Media?

You deserve the best possible portrait of your family. In the pursuit for excellence, the digital media is more versatile and is able to print larger and higher quality images for our customers. With the rapid growth of digital imagery it has become more cost effective and easier to guarantee lifetime preservation for our customer's dollar. We can photograph for longer durations with out stopping than ever before. At present we use high speed 4 gigabyte cards that allows us to capture at least 80-100 exposures of your session.

How do I make choose my prints for ordering?

After your session is complete we will invite you to book a viewing time.  This time will be set aside at our studio exclusively for you. You will have the opportunity to view your portrait session on a large projector screen in our viewing room to make your final selections. Please make sure that everyone involved in the decision-making process is in attendance. It is recommended that you come with a list for prints and sizes you may need for walls, albums and gift prints for family.

Studio location

We are located in NW Calgary and easily accessible from Deerfoot or Stoney Trail. We are an appointment only studio so that we can ensure the best one on one customer service possible. Once your session is booked we will email you the address and directions.

What should we wear?

Simple garments in medium to dark tones of brown, grey, burgundy or blue are good choices when being photographed against a medium or dark background. Because darker clothes are slimming, it is often a good choice.  White to beige or pastels are best for the “Simply White” sessions.

Proper clothing coordination is especially critical for family group portraits. You don’t want any individual to stand out because the clothing is too light or bright as compared to the rest of the group.

Clothing that is too tight or too loose will not hang properly and may have too many folds or creases. Avoid clothing with words, small straps, logos, stripes and loud patterns.

How long will it take for us to get our photos?

Most print orders take 3-4 weeks to ensure the best quality portraits possible. Birth announcements or greeting cards are available in 1 week and rush orders can be done for an additional fee.

Can our pet be included in our family photo?

Pets are always welcome. Let us know in advance if you are planning to bring in your pet. If possible, the pet should remain in a carrier when it’s not being photographed.
