Little Mermaid, a sneak peek

I have been caught – hook, link and sinker – by this little mermaid.
This afternoon, I had the pleasure of spending a fun-filled photography session with Sydney (or Syd, as she prefers to be called) while we tested out the newest portrait set and costumes to arrive at Sunflowers Photo.
Syd (and her parents) graciously offered to help me out with a dry run of the new seaside experience portraits, and I couldn’t have asked for a more delightful volunteer. She arrived with her hair in perfect ringlets and was eager to put on the costume to show me her best mermaid impersonation. As you can see, it was fantastic.
I can understand Syd’s enthusiasm. It’s always exciting to get a new backdrop. Since the new ocean scene backdrop arrived at the studio a few weeks ago, I’ve been fluttering with new ideas to bring to all my favourite people – my clients. And, now that there are new handmade costumes (mermaids and vintage sailors) and props to go with it, it’s time to unveil the newest portrait option.
I am so happy with all of the photos, and had a very difficult time trying to decide which ones to share with all of you.
Thank you, Syd, for making my afternoon so much fun! In fact, I enjoyed this session so much, I’ve decided to make it my summer studio special.

I really enjoyed this post, especially the “examples in this post” portion which made it really easy for me to SEE what you were talking about without even having to leave the article. Thanks
